Phase 2 Consultation Events
SMart Wind is pleased to invite all members of the public to a series of Consultation Events as detailed. The purpose of these events is to give an opportunity for all stakeholders and communities to find out more about our detailed proposals and play an active role in developing the first project within the Hornsea Zone.
Following feedback from Phase 1 Early Options Consultation Events in March and April 2011, SMart Wind has narrowed down three initial options for the onshore & offshore cable routes connecting the windfarm(s) to National Grid’s substation at North Killingholme down to a single route, south of the River Humber.
The events will include information boards, interactive computer visualisations and presentations by the development team. Details will be provided about the offshore wind generation infrastructure, the route alignment of the export cable route south of the River Humber in Lincolnshire via a number of potential converter station locations near Killingholme, to the existing Killingholme North Substation. Staff from SMart Wind, and other key suppliers and organisations, will be in attendance to answer questions and provide information.
